Sound is used in an intentional flow in which you are bathed in sound waves that are generated from music and instruments such as rattles, singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, tuning forks, Shamanic drumming and the human singing voice, to create repetitive sound.
Deep relaxation helps to reset the dopamine levels that get reset by serotonin. The feel good hormones. A key feature and benefit of sound bathing is that is allows a state of Theta to occur. Theta occurs two times in our day. When we are waking and just arousing and when we are drifting off to sleep. Science has shown that is unconscious state, is our gateway to learning, memory, and intuition, where profound healing can occur.
WHAT TO EXPECT
It sounds pretty simple, but because people are so outwardly and inwardly hyper, totally relaxing and being in a state of allowance is not easy.
You will lay on the ground, supported by mats, blankets, bolsters, cushions etc…so that you are completely comfortable and able to let go and relax.
The session will begin by tuning into the breath and possible entry meditation.
This will be a sound sensory “healing” and the sound patterns and waves can make you feel the following:
bliss
agitation
anger
sadness
relaxed
curiousness
anxious
annoyed
tired
wired
Please try not to anticipate what to expect. Be curious and allow surpriseIf you fall asleep that is great, and if you stay awake the entire time, that is okay too!
Your job is to surrender to what is and stay in the present moment and allow the feelings and sensations to arise as you receive the frequency medicine.
